Laylat al Qadr, eller kraftens/skapelsens/allmaktens natt, är den bästa av nätter. Den är bättre än tusen månader. Ber du en bön under denna månad så är den bättre än en bön under 1000 månader.
Allmaktens Natt är mera värd än tusen månader /Koranen 97:3
Under denna heliga natt bestäms våra öden under nästa år. Allah är barmhärtig, att be honom, att fråga honom, att kalla till honom under denna natt och be honom välsigna oss, skydda oss, hjälpa oss, kommer att påverka våra öden.
För att ge människorna vägledning [inleddes] i månaden Ramadan uppenbarelsen av Koranen i vilken vägledningen klargörs och en måttstock ges med vilken rätt kan mätas och skiljas från orätt. Den av er som ser månens nytändning skall fasta månaden ut. Men den som är sjuk eller [stadd] på resa [skall fasta därefter] under motsvarande antal dagar. Gud vill göra det lätt – inte tungt – för er. Håll [fastan under den föreskrivna] perioden och prisa Gud som har väglett er – kanske skall ni visa [Honom] tacksamhet. /Koranen 2:185
Koranen sändes ner till människan under denna månad och under denna Laylat al Qadr. Enligt den sjätte Imamen, så fick människorna även de andra heliga böckerna under denna månad (Gamla testamentet och Nya testamentet). Enligt vissa tolkningar fick Profeten hela Koranen under denna dag och fick läsa upp och lära människorna respektive vers beroende på tillfälle den gällde. Andra menar att Koranen uppenbarades över 23 år.
Man är rätt osäker på när den natten infaller:
Shias anser att den infaller 19/21/23
Sunnis anser att den infaller på de sista tio dagarna på Ramadan, säkrast är på 27:de
Amaal (uppgifter/dåd man ska göra under dessa nätter)
Den lärde Majlisi menar att det bästa man ska göra under dessa nätter är att be Allah om förlåtelse och be Allah om det man vill han ska välsigna en med. Man ska göra salawat (Allahumma Salli ala Muhammed we Aleh Muhammed) så ofta som möjligt.
- Gör den rituella tvättninge
- Två rakaas (gå ner till marken två gånger) och varje gång läser man Al Fatiha en gång och Al Ikhlaas 7 gånger.
- Efter bönen recitera 70 gånger Astaghfur Allah Rabbi we Atuba elaihi (Jag ber Allah om förlåtelse och ber om bot)
- Be om förlåtelse för dina synder, lova att inte göra om dem och tänk på dessa synder.
- Läs olika förböner, som tex Dua Kumayl
- Öppna Koranen och ha den framför dig:
O Allah treat me as one of those who are free from Hell, in the name of this Holy Book sent by Thee, whatever there be in the Book. Including Ism-e-A’azam and Asmaa-e-Husnaa and the things to be dreaded, the things that may be expected and desired, like blessings of Jannat. Do forgive through the grace of this book
På Arabiska blir det:
“Alaahumma inni asaloka be kitaabekal munzale Wa maa feeh, wa feehismokal akbaro wa asmaakal husnaa, wa maa yokhaafo Wa yurjaa an taj-alani min otaqaaeka minan-Naar”,
Be Allah om vad du vill han ska välsigna dig med.
Sätt Koranen på huvudet och säg:
O Allah! I appeal to Thee in the name of this Qur’an and the Rooh that was sent along with it, and in the name of the Momin (believer) whose praise is contained in this Book and Tine obligation that is on them. No one else recognizes the right and truth more than Thee
Allaahumma be haqqe haazal Qur’an we be haqqe man arsaltahoo beh, Wa be haqqe kulle momenin madahtahoo feeh, we be haqqeka alaihim fa-laa ahada a’arafo be haqqeka mink

Sen ställer man sig upp med Koranen på huvudet och säger Bel Hojjat al Qaaem (vid Mehdin)
Be Allah om fler gåvor och hjälp.
Nu ska man läsa Ziyarat Hussain (en dua eller förbön)
Peace be on you, O the son of the Messenger of Allah!
Peace be on you, O the son of the Ameer ul Moomineen!
Peace be on you, O the son of the truthful pure Fatimah, the leader of the women of the worlds!
Peace be on you, O my Mawlaa! O Aba Abdillah, and the mercy and blessings of Allah!
I bear witness that you established the prayers, gave the prescribed share to the needy, commanded to do that which is right and lawful, not to do that which is wrong and unlawful, studied and cherished the ideas of the Book as ought to be, strived in the way of Allah, leaving no stone unturned, while directing affairs in the light of the boundaries laid down by Allah, exercised self-control bravely in the midst of offensive provocations, till the inevitable came unto you. I bear witness that those who opposed you and waged war against you, those who abandoned you, and those who killed you, are the accursed as per the declaration of the Prophet whom no one gave lessons. Verily, whoso tells a lie is a loser. Curse of Allah be on those who persecuted you, from among the pioneers and the followers, ever growing tormenting punishment. I have come to you O my Mawlaa the son of the Messenger of Allah, for your “ziyaarat”, fully aware of your rights, closely attached to your friends, hostile to your enemies, attentive and alive to the guidance which you had and made known, mindful of the waywardness which leads to your opposition, so, speak on my behalf to your Lord.
Peace be on you, O the decisive argument of Allah on His earth and in His heaven. Blessings of Allah be on your refined soul and pure body, and peace be on you, O my Mawlaa also mercy and blessings of Allah.Ziyarat of ‘Ali-Akbar
Peace be on you, O my master,and the son of my master,
Mercy of Allah (he on you),
and His blessings.
May Allah curse he who oppressed you,
and may Allah curse he who killed you,
and increase on them the painful punishment.
Ziyarat of the other martyrs.
Peace be on you, O the truthful ones.
Peace be on you, O the patient martyrs.
I bear witness that you,
struggled in the way of Allah,
and were patient in troubles on the side of Allah,
and you exhorted (in the way of),
Allah and His Messenger,
Until death came to you.
I bear witness that you are alive,
being sustained by Your Lord.
May Allah reward you,
on behalf of Islam and its people,
the best reward of the doers of good.
And (may He) unite us with you,
in the place of blessings (Heaven)
Ziyarat of Hadhrat ‘Abbas (a)
Peace be on you, O son of Ameerul Mu’mineen.
Peace be on you, O the virtuous servant,
obedient to Allah and His Messenger.
I bear witness that you struggled, and advised (others)
and were patient until death came to you.
May Allah curse those who oppressed you,
from the first ones to the last,
and keep them in the bottom of the Fire.
